Originality reports coming to Google Classroom

Educators will have the option to enable originality reports. This will allows students to run up to three originality reports on their document they attach prior to submitting their work.

Once the assignment is submitted, a new report will be available and will flag any text that has:

  • missed citations
  • "high similarity with text on the web or in books"
Coming soon - schools can have their own repository of past student submissions that include student-to-student matches within the same school.
