Google Maps will now help drivers stay within speed limits and avoid speed traps

My brother and I went to celebrate Christmas with my cousins (yes it is February - this was the first weekend we could all hang out)!

Anyway, my brother and I noticed that on the bottom left of his phone a speed limit pops up. This was extremely helpful because we were in Delaware and the speed limit in the first state changes more than any state I can think of!

Google Maps also is supposed to display the locations of speed traps through small camera icons and an audio warning that will alert if a speed trap is coming up. We did not see this today!

This feature was two years in the making after it started testing in San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Please note this is being rolled out to Google Map users - I do not have the option yet.

Take care,
Brad
