Virtual PARTIAL PRODUCT FINDER Partial Product Finder allows multiplication combinations to be represented as a rectangle, or array, with dimensions that match the combination.

The Math Learning Center created a very useful tool called Partial Product Finder. When you open the site you will see

  • how to create your grid (starts off with 5x5 but can go to 50x50)
  • on the right you will see the grid with a slide that allows you to drag it along the grid
  • on the bottom you will see the different partial products
    • example (5x2) + (5x3) = (5x5)

Embedded below is a 1 minute and 30 second YouTube tutorial.

Take care,
Brad
