The Select to Speak extension allows you to have any text read aloud to you in 27 languages and 21 different speeds.

Once added, make sure to select the text you would like read aloud and then simply click on the extension and the text will be read aloud. If you would like to make adjustments (speed, male/female and language) right click on the extension.
